GOD'S CURSE

Courtesy of google

Over the years , there have been a stiff competition among contagious diseases ;cancer ,malaria , Ebola , HIV/AIDS and chikungunya . Among them , cancer was ranked the worst , demonic disease up to now it still is . The competition has now increased into six deadly diseases , corona virus taking the lead
It is the trending virus as per now , its scientific name is COVID_19. It is believed to have originated from Wuyan,  China .It is infected through direct contacts , coughing , sneezing and many other ways , it is more of an airbone disease .
What do you think is the cause of all this ; is it a curse from God for our bad deeds ? Is it the food we eat ? Is it the environment we live in ? Or is it a scientists' way of making . These are the questions I have always been  asking myself even before Corona came to being . The world has had so many diseases in it . And I know these are the same questions confusing you .

But I also thank God , Africa is blessed more so Kenya . Kenya has never been an originator of any contagious disease . What we know is the locusts menace and we are fighting them . Kenya is really blessed .
Corona has been spreading at a very fast pace but fortunately it has not reached Africa . That shows how blessed the African continent is . But it has affected the African continent economically , and even transport . Importation and exportation of goods has really been restricted  .Traveling into other countries especially the European , American and Asian continent has become a threat . China was our Kenyans second home but now we cannot even lend money from them . The money might also be carrying the virus .
On several occasions , the European and American sports league have been postponed to prevent the spread of the virus . As we all know sports is the most loved activity in the world , fans come together , get congested in one place their teams hence a high rate of the virus spreading . For instance , the Serie A league a game of Juventus against Inter Milan had to be postponed almost a week because of the virus threat . It played a week after , surprisingly the game played without the presence of fans , it was only the players , the medical officers and coaches of both teams .
Today I am gonna discuss about Kenya in contrast with the virus , COVID _19 Corona Virus . Jam not praying that the virus reaches our country but incase it happens the virus gets the chance to explore Kenya , how is our government and the Kenyan people prepared make sure the virus does not infect many people . What are the techniques our government would use to make sure our country is safe ?

We all know the situation in our country ; illiteracy , people loving congested places , ignorance , corruption , don't cares .
For illiteracy That is one of the challenges . Most people are illiterate , don't follow current afffairs . Am sure there are some people in the marginalised areas who are not aware of the virus . What they know is just wake up in the morning and find a place where they can get money to buy food for their family , they don't know what is happening in the outside world . This is one of the bad situation about our beloved country Kenya .

Kenyan people love congested areas . They like pushing one another without knowing the health status of the person pushing them . Lets take for intance , the Kenya Ferry in Mombasa county .A ferry carrying almost two thousand people just congested in there .What will the government do to make sure all those people crossing with the ferry are safe and do not end up getting infected ? Another instance is during sports .In Kenya we have die hard fans of the Kenya Premier League and even the European Leagues . people get congested in halls to watch football ignoring even the health status of the person sitting next to them .
Corruption .I know by now the government has put a large amount of funds to prepare in case the virus attempts to enter Kenya but I wont be surprised if that money that is used to help the common Mwananchi against the virus ends in prominent people's pockets leaving the mwananchi suffering . Kenya love testing God's faith . They dont know how dangerous something is until it happens to them . I know there are people who are saying Corona is just a scam . I know there people who are saying Corona is just like HIV/AIDS . Never put those two viruses in the same level .
The most important thing is to pray that the virus does not enter our beloved country , Kenya . Lets pray even for the deceased countries and continents .

GOOD AS HELL

It is every parents dream for their kid to get education . It is more of a dream if their children join university (campus). Every child who has vision and mission , who is determined and passionate would like to join campus after high school . They always believe when one joins university ; their mentality grow and become mature , job opportunities knock on their doors when one graduates from university and they also get to live good life full of freedom escaping the 'slavery ' life in their parents' house . That is true , no lie .

Back in high during the Guidance and Counselling session , graduates from different universities came to mentor us on several issues and they always told us on the issue of how good campus is hiding the bad ones . They made us believe that campus is funny , no hustles , you eat the food you want , you do anything you wish to do but they then forgot to tell us that you do all those kinds of staff if you have money . It sounds funny . They only made us know of the positives hiding the negatives of campus. In our high school there is a statement they used to tell us ," work hard so that you can go enjoy life in university (good life ) ". They termed it as campus life .

Seeing is believing now I see the 'campus life' they were talking about .Living a life where all loan applications in your phone are the best friends ever , living a life when you friends sees a call from you , he/she knows 'jamaa wa kuomba pesa ndio huyo ' even if you you have something important you wanna discuss with them . It sounds funny .
The hardest challenge I ever faced in campus is money managing and money making .What you think is not what the money thinks . You think of saving the money , the money thinks of being spent . The good things being displayed in markets and shops wont allow you save the money you intended to .
Money making is another issue , the only job that a student can be trusted to do is a 2.5k monthly salary job . Its rare beyond that . As you all know getting employed goes with connection nowadays . Until now as am writing this am still unemployed . It sounds funny
Our university is located at the coast but the behaviours inside that institution are not coastal . Most students are from ' Bara ' and the upcountry people have a language that coasterians don't understand and its hard to adapt it  .The first time I joined campus , though the university is located at the coast my homeland but it seemed like I had joined a foreign university . It was hard for me to make friends with the sheng' people .
It sounds so ironical that even my fellow coast students don't want to be associated with the region .
The school system is itself ironical .People are becoming grandparents in universities with no hope of graduating only because they did not go for attachment , exam results not being displayed in the school system .The most part that I hate about university ,is a 2 years course taking me 5 years to graduate because of silly mistakes of lecturers misplacing my examination results
The best thing I love about university is that if you overcome all the challenges I have mentioned above , you become a better person
